CNC Setter / Operator - Manufacturing - Nottingham

Seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator (Turning) to join a modern manufacturing company in South Nottingham.

You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC Turning machines using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls.

10% shift premium on afternoon shift hours.

Shift Pattern:

Week 1

Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

Week 2

Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Friday: 1:00pm – 8:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Set and operate CNC Turning machines.

Adjust Fanuc and Mazatrol machine controls and tooling to maintain dimensional tolerances.

Work from engineering drawings, CAD designs and specifications.

Produce components to required dimensions, tolerances and quality standards.

Carry out your own quality inspections using CMM and shadowgraph equipment.

Alter machine offsets in line with SPC results.

Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

Good knowledge of CNC Turning machines with the ability to set tooling and programmes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience using measuring equipment and inspection gauges.

Good mathematical skills within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol-controlled CNC machinery is desirable.
