North East UK | £60,000–£70,000 basic | Full project lifecycle
We’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer to help deliver high-impact control and automation solutions across Life Sciences, Chemical, Manufacturing and Processing industries.
Every project is different. You’ll design and implement a wide range of systems – including process control, plant management information systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), track & trace and OEE solutions – for leading organisations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the design and implementation of process control solutions throughout the full project lifecycle
- Gathering requirements, producing proposals and technical specifications
- Developing software, testing, installing and commissioning systems
- Fault-finding and preparing design specifications and reports
- Providing technical support and consultancy to both internal teams and external clients
- Supporting colleagues to deliver projects on time, on budget and to the required quality standards
- Working in line with the Quality Management System
- Building and maintaining strong, professional customer relationships, including providing engineering support under SLAs
You’ll work with a variety of manufacturers’ hardware and software across different industry sectors, continuously developing both your technical and project delivery skills.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 7 years’ mainstream PLC/SCADA experience
- Experience in regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Chemical Manufacturing or Power & Energy is highly desirable
- Strong ability and willingness to learn new software systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- A proactive, can-do attitude and positive approach to learning
- Full UK driving licence
