Engineering Manager - Automated Distribution - Doncaster

Doncaster | £70,000–£75,000 + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance / Engineering Manager to join a global engineering organisation supporting one of the UK's most advanced automated distribution centres.

You'll be responsible for leading the onsite engineering function, developing a high-performing maintenance team and ensuring industry-leading levels of system reliability, customer satisfaction and operational performance.

The Role

• Lead, develop and mentor the onsite maintenance and engineering team.
• Create a positive culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Act as the main customer contact.
• Deliver agreed KPIs for system availability, engineering performance, quality and cost.
• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement.
• Manage maintenance budgets, engineering resources and operational priorities.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and engineering standards.
• Monitor engineering performance through CMMS systems and performance analysis.

Role Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent desirable.
• Maintenance, engineering or technical-services background.
• Minimum three years' management experience.
• Automated logistics, warehousing, material handling, manufacturing or FMCG experience.
• Strong preventative maintenance and reliability knowledge.
• Experience managing engineering teams, budgets and KPIs.
• CMMS experience.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
