Field Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools – UK

UK Wide | Salary from £47,963 + company vehicle and benefits | 36-hour week, early Friday finish, nationwide travel

We are working with a long-established manufacturer of high-speed CNC machine tools, automation systems and additive manufacturing technology. Continued growth across its UK customer base means the service team is expanding.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will look after customers across the UK, keeping high-precision machining centres running at their best. The role has a strong mechanical bias and combines servicing and fault finding with project work on new installations. Full product training is provided.

Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled service visits at customer sites. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across CNC machinery. Complete mechanical and electrical retrofits, including spindle exchanges. Support installation and setup of new machinery, provide technical advice to customers and follow safe working procedures.

Skills and qualifications

Engineering experience within the machine-tool industry, including installation, servicing and maintenance. Previous experience with a machine-tool or lathe manufacturer or agent. Strong mechanical skills with some electrical knowledge. FANUC controls experience is an advantage. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide with overnight stays.
