CV Technical are working with a well-established food manufacturing business who are looking to add a Line Technician to their production team.
This is a hands-on technical role working with automated food production and packaging machinery. You'll be responsible for keeping your line running efficiently, carrying out changeovers, adjustments and first-line fault finding, while working closely with the engineering and production teams.
The Role
As a Line Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running and performance of an automated production line.
Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating automated production machinery, carrying out product and format changeovers, adjusting machinery to maintain production output and quality, carrying out first-line fault finding and resolving minor breakdowns, and identifying issues with machinery and escalating more complex faults to the Maintenance Engineers.
You'll monitor line performance, downtime, waste and OEE, carry out basic mechanical adjustments and maintenance and work with conveyors, fillers, baggers, weighing and packaging equipment.
You'll also monitor sensors, motors, pneumatics and other production equipment, support planned maintenance and cleaning activities, complete production and quality documentation and work closely with the Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime.
The Person
We're looking for someone with previous experience working around production machinery or automated manufacturing equipment.
You could come from a background such as Line Technician, Production Technician, Machine Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Machine Setter, Line Setter, Technical Operator or Maintenance Technician.
You'll ideally have experience working with automated production machinery, previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG or food production, experience carrying out machine setups and changeovers, good mechanical aptitude and basic fault-finding skills.
