Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working nights and taking ownership of your shift? Would you like to join a growing food manufacturer where maintenance is focused on prevention rather than firefighting?

We are working with an established artisan bakery in Nottingham. Following a new long-term retail contract and investment in manufacturing equipment, the business is expanding engineering support for 24-hour production.

This is a permanent night-shift role within a close-knit engineering team. Working largely independently, you will own planned maintenance, equipment reliability and improvement projects, with support from the experienced day team.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance on bakery production and packaging equipment. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, take ownership of night-shift reliability, support machinery upgrades, manage critical spares and engineering stores, maintain site facilities, update maintenance records and coordinate shift handovers.

Skills and qualifications

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent. Electrical or mechanical bias considered, but mechanically biased engineers must be electrically competent. At least three years' manufacturing or FMCG maintenance experience, strong fault finding, independent working and a proactive approach to improvement.

Benefits

£52,000 basic salary, Monday–Friday nights, one-in-five Saturday cover at enhanced rates, 22 days' holiday plus bank holidays, investment in equipment and opportunities to improve maintenance practices.
