Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Food&Bev - Ashton-Under-Lyne

Ashton-Under-Lyne | Permanent Nights (Monday–Friday, 10:00pm–6:00am) | £50,000 + Overtime

We are looking for a motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading food manufacturer.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member of the engineering team, ensuring the production facility is maintained and operating efficiently.

You will be involved in all aspects of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across the operation. With progressive training and development, the business continually invests in enhancing employee skills while providing the support of a welcoming engineering team.

This position is ideal for a technically motivated engineer looking for their next challenge within a secure and stable manufacturing environment.

Role Description:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain and repair a variety of machinery, including food production equipment.
• Support engineering project work.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work with PLC-controlled machinery.
• Adhere to all site health and safety procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance engineering experience.
• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications are desirable.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
