Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Newark

Newark, Nottinghamshire | £45,000–£50,000 | Permanent, Monday–Friday day shifts, occasional paid call-outs

A family-run manufacturing business is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair production machinery and minimise downtime.

Key duties

Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance. Breakdown response and fault finding. Mechanical repairs and root-cause analysis. Work on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains and pneumatic systems, together with industrial processing, shredding, screening and material-handling equipment. Welding, fabrication, fitting, spare-parts management and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Strong mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing or production. Welding and fabrication skills, good fault-finding and fitting ability, a full driving licence and a practical, reliable and self-motivated approach. Electrical experience would be desirable.

Monday–Friday day shift. Weekend work and out-of-hours call-outs may be required and are paid separately.
