Production Manager – Metal Fabrication – Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire (Stoke-on-Trent area) | £50,000–£60,000 | Days, 7:30am–5:00pm

As Production Manager, imagine having almost every manufacturing process you could think of happening under one roof.

Laser cutting, press machinery, robotic welding, fabrication and fitting, with around 300 people working across the day shift.

It's a busy place, and it's getting busier. The business is experiencing significant growth, which is why they're investing in additional Production Managers to support their existing teams.

And whilst knowing your way around a manufacturing environment is important, it's your ability to get the best out of people that will really make the difference here. Because you can have all the machinery, skilled operators and production plans in the world, but you still need someone who knows how to bring everyone together.

As Production Manager, you'll have your own area of responsibility, working with experienced operators who know their machinery, understand the processes and take pride in what they do.

You'll be managing different personalities, comfortable having conversations about performance and absence, and supported by a dedicated planning department and an in-house production system.

You might already be a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Fabrication Manager. Perhaps you're a Shift Manager looking for that next step. Experience with lean manufacturing, Kaizen or continuous improvement would be useful, but first and foremost they're looking for someone who knows how to manage people.

As Production Manager, you'll receive £50,000–£60,000, day shifts, 30 days' holiday including bank holidays (increasing with service), company pension, Employee Assistance Programme, free parking and life insurance after two years.
