Your core tasks will include:

• This role requires a strong technical background in injection moulding machines.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to moulding machines and processes

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning and maintenance of moulding machines.

• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including design specifications, test results, and progress reports.

• Assisting with the execution of industrial automation projects from design through to installation/commissioning

• Mechanical and electrical assembly

• Commissioning and fault finding

• Customer liaison, assistance & training

• Sales support (customers visits, trials and demonstrations)

• Responsible to the Engineering Manager for overall performance, but on a day to basis for work tasks, the engineer reports to the project manager to whom he/she is assigned

• Involves travel within the UK and occasionally abroad

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

• 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role within the plastic injection molding industry.

• Proven track record of managing injection molding projects from inception to completion.

• Excellent problem analysis, resolution and documentation skills

• Flexible and resilient, able to adapt to an always-changing role

• Fast learner and able to learn ‘on the job’

• Self-motivated and confident personality, able to work both independently and as part of a team

• Project engineers must demonstrate knowledge of engineering principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, engineering project management methods, workplace safety, and employee/contractor supervision

• Ideally you will reside no more than 30-40 miles from our office in Coventry

• Provide assistance in other departments & support CNC machine fitouts
