Quality FAIRS Technician - Aerospace - Newport

Newport, South Wales | £30,000-£35,000 | Days

We are working with an established provider of advanced electronic manufacturing services and PCB technologies, supplying high-reliability electronics into the aerospace, defence, industrial automation and medical technology sectors.

Working within the Quality function, you will be responsible for the accurate creation and verification of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports in line with aerospace and customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Create AS9102 FAIR reports in line with the latest revision.
• Complete Forms 1, 2 and 3 independently.
• Use customer data packs, drawings and the internal ERP system.
• Interpret PCB and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain AS9100 traceability.
• Verify balloon drawing notes.
• Understand and verify concessions.
• Provide objective evidence of compliance.
• Identify non-conformances.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Quality experience within aerospace.
• Proven experience creating AS9102 FAIRs.
• Strong technical drawing interpretation skills.
• PCB and mechanical drawing experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, AS9102, NADCAP or AC7120 desirable.
