Responsible for the design and delivery of control systems, reporting directly to the Controls Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Understand client requirements.
Electrical and controls concept design including Functional Design Specifications, Safety Requirements Specifications, Single Line Diagrams, Network Topologies, Device Layouts, Cause & Effect Matrices and Safety Block Diagrams.
Handover to the Hardware Design team and review designs produced.
Software design including Software Design Specifications.
Produce software and configuration deliverables for PLC, HMI, SCADA, robots and drives.
Maintain the Technical Construction File.
Carry out Factory Acceptance Testing.
Carry out commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing.
Comply with relevant industry regulations, client specifications and internal standards.
Meet project milestones.
Promote and contribute to continuous improvement.
Mentor less-experienced engineers.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Minimum BEng, BSE or Level 6 Apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Minimum five years' experience in a similar role.
Very good understanding of electrical control systems.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
