Shift Engineer - Renewable Energy - Durham

Durham | £48,654 | 4 Days, 4 Nights - 12 Hour Shifts

We are working with a large-scale renewable energy business operating within the anaerobic digestion and biogas sector.

The site operates a heavy industrial, process-driven environment, with a strong focus on reliability, compliance and continued investment in plant and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and process equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
• Maintain pumps, shredders, macerators, compressors and gas handling systems.
• Work with PLC, SCADA and C&I fault-finding data.
• Work from drawings and P&ID diagrams.
• Coordinate contractors and permit-to-work processes.
• Support capital and improvement projects.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Level 2 Engineering qualification.
• Maintenance engineering experience within heavy industry.
• Mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
