Role Responsibilities:

Assist with the execution of industrial automation projects from design through to installation and commissioning.

Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly.

Complete robot programming both online and offline.

Carry out PMC, HMI and PLC programming.

Complete commissioning and fault finding across electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.

Liaise with customers.

Deliver customer training.

Provide technical assistance to customers, employees and suppliers.

Supervise other employees, apprentices and contractors.

Provide sales support including customer visits, trials and demonstrations.

Assist other departments as required.

Report to the Engineering Manager for overall performance and to the assigned Project Manager for day-to-day project tasks.

Undertake extensive travel within the UK and occasional international travel.

Your Profile:

Formal qualifications and experience in electro-mechanical engineering.

Knowledge of installation, commissioning and programming of industrial robots.

PMC, HMI and PLC programming knowledge.

Welding experience, ideally within robotic welding, automated manufacturing or industrial production environments, is highly preferred.

CAD and offline programming or simulation knowledge.

Excellent problem analysis, resolution and documentation skills.

Flexible and resilient, with the ability to adapt to an always-changing role.

Determined to get the job done and able to adapt to changing requirements.

Fast learner with the ability to learn on the job.

Self-motivated and confident, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of engineering principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, engineering project management methods, workplace safety and employee or contractor supervision.

Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment, handling multiple simultaneous tasks and smaller projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
